Melanie is a fourth generation Nashville Native. She offers many services and is known for her multifaceted and diverse set of talents. From interior decorating, to make up and hair, to encouraging people, she has found her calling. An encounter with Melanie is more than just hair and makeup.
Melanie started Surreal in Green Hills back in 2008 with Danielle Schroeder. In 2018 they relocated to East Nashville and their business has since exploded with bachelorette party’s, wedding party’s and out of town travelers coming in to get the Nashville Glam experience! Melanie has a passion for making people feel beautiful and a knack for bringing out ones inner beauty.

Owner/Master Barber of Surreal Hair Studio with over 20 years of experience in hair design. Whether you need a trim, touch-up or dramatic change, you can trust I will keep your style up to date with the latest and greatest trends, custom crafted for you. I am a professional, dedicated and friendly hairstylist and colorist.
I specialize in the latest haircutting techniques including dry cutting, precision point cutting, and up to date texturizing. In addition I offer creative color and highlighting, including dimensional highlights and corrective coloring. I firmly believe in continuing education and always keep up to date on all the new trends.

Hi I’m Malia, I’m a Nashville native and absolutely love this city. Growing up I watched my mom and her love for hair grow into an amazing place called Surreal. After graduating high school I went to The Salon Professional Academy and haven’t looked back since. I have been doing hair for three years and since starting my career I have seeked higher education/ certifications in Brazilian blowouts, styling, blonding, color, haircuts and extensions. In my free time you can find me downtown on rooftops, at hot yoga, enjoying Nashville’s amazing food and spending time with my fur baby, Teddi.

Hello! My name is Jeana. I was born and raised in Nashville and have always dreamed about working in the beauty industry. My all-time favorite services to perform would be any sort of up-do and full glam makeup looks. I love preparing someone for a special event day whether that be a wedding, bachelorette party, or prom! My goal is to make my clients feel confident in their own skin while enhancing their natural beauty. When I’m not behind the chair, I enjoy shopping and exploring the city with my friends!

I love pushing myself to know more and expand my knowledge of the art. With my training in Beverly Hills, CA and in Nashville, TN; I have created my own special technique by combining both styles.”
